Flat time , 1 km into ride

Trial runs in the Laurentian hills

Today Gino Kaly,Joe , Maureen and myself  headed up to the Laurentians for some serious hills and to get used to biking with most of the luggage we will be carrying. Kaly didn't have time to pack everything , since she just finished her exams , so she improvised by adding a few hardcover textbooks for weight.
Here we are starting out near  Saint-Faustin . We didn't get quite far, maybe  a kilometer before Kaly had a flat. ( 1 nothing for Kaly )
It must have been that chemistry textbook. So Joe and Gino proceeded to change the flat and we were soon on our way.  We only did 45k but in these hills that  counts for more.It was a good experience , climbing and descending the hills with the bags . We ended the afternoon at Bert's place soaking in his  hottub down by Lac Des Sables.

Trial runs

Here we are Gino and I on a 100km prep outing near Ile Bizard.Tried out the bags today and it was easier than expected . We have decided to leave a day earlier so Sunday May 30th is the daywe intend on leaving . Tomorrow am we ( Gino ,Kaly Joseph and myself ( maybe Maureen will join us) will go up to Ste-Agathe for an other practice outing with all the luggage ) in some hilly terrain
